Buillding History
The building was built in the late 1900s by I. N. Darr and was used as the Darr Harness Factory. According the information developed by the Reference Department of the Allerton Public Library, the factory employed about 30 workmen. From the early 1920s to the mid-1930s, the building was occupied by the Home Furniture Company. Thereafter, it became a pool hall and operated as such for many years. Linden Combes became owner of the property in 1969 running a lunch room in front and a pool hall in the back. In 1978, William Glasgow bought the building and eventually rebuilt the street level to accomodate a law office. After acquiring the building in 2007, Mr. Foltz completely redecorated the interior to its current appearance.
